Balancing Act

The cold has brought me inside to paint for some of November. I have had fun with the abundance of fruit this season and unusual shapes of squash. The turban squash was a centerpiece in the dining room. I like the shape alongside the leaning pear.
Currently, I am working on a new series of blanket and pillow paintings that were inspired by my dailies from 2008-2009.

I saw these two paintings at the SCAD Small Works show this week, and immediately responded to the rich color and form. Beautiful!

That Cynthia White is a talented soul. I'm partial to the Oslo stamps, but anything she touches is stunning.
Cynthia White is one talented lady. I'm partial to her Oslo stamp, but feel so grateful to proudly display so many White originals in our home. They. Are. Stunning.
